Little Brown Jug
Shawn loves to pick up jugs and bottles and try to drink from them. This time it was an almost empty gallon jug of distilled water. Can he be any cuter? I don't think so!

Waterworld
We went to a swimming party this week. I left Shawn home with Mike because he was sick. The twins had a wonderful time! They were afraid to go down the water slide at first, but quickly fell in love with it and spent almost the entire time on it. The cutest moment of the day was when they went down together holding hands.

The Art of War
We've been doing a lot of arts and crafts the last couple of weeks. Connor and Heather enjoy them and so do I.
Grandma Bonnie gave us a kit with some paint and a Kid Concoctions Book. We tried papier mache for the first time. Messy and fun! We used glow-in-the-dark paint for the faces and to put names on shirts. It's wash-out fabric paint, but they really wanted to use if for their craft. Thank you for the fun book of ideas! We're looking forward to trying many more!

We made some bird puppets and the twins put on a show for Shawn. Everyone enjoyed!

I made two new batches of Kool-Aid Playdough. It's such good dough. Much better than anything you can buy. It lasts for a long time and smells great! Connor and Heather made cakes for their kids. When they finished they said, "Kids, your cakes are ready. Come and eat!"

Connor and Heather wanted to make something with pompoms. We glued sticks to a piece of paper, then glued pompoms to the sticks. Connor made a sunburst pattern and completely covered it with poms. Heather, in her typical minimalist style, made what she called a "square almost" and put just a few little poms in the corner.

Eleventh Hour
The time just passes by so quickly. Shawn is eleven months. Here are a few pictures of him enjoying his crib. We moved him into Connor's room and it's working out pretty well, except when one of them wakes up early and wakes the other up.

Born on the Fourth of July
We had a great time celebrating Independence Day. The twins slept over at Grandma and Grandpa's house last night. Mike, Shawn and I went over at lunchtime for a BBQ and visiting. The twins did a couple of crafts (gotta love Oriental Trading !) After Mike headed off to work the kids and I went home and the twins fell asleep in the car (at 5:00!) They were pretty tired from their busy weekend.
Shawn went to bed at 9:00 and I let the twins stay up until 10:00 so we could watch our next door neighbor's fireworks. I was surprised at their reactions: Connor was scared at first, but was fine if he covered his ears. Heather took it all in with a big smile on her face.

Walk The Line
Sometimes I post pictures and videos on facebook and I forget to post them here. I took some video the other day of Shawn walking behind his car. He really gets into it some days. He goes back and forth across the room. Of course, once the camera comes out he stops and crawls to me.

Waterfall
Today was the last day of our swimming lessons. The weather was beautiful this morning, although right now as I post this it's pouring outside. I took my camera, but I had downloaded photos from my memory card last night and forgot to put it back in my camera! So I took these with my phone. The video is terrible quality. I was so mad at myself for forgetting my card!
Connor went down the slide again and again. He just LOVED it! Heather didn't stay straight the first time down. She was almost backwards by the time she got to the bottom and that scared her. The teacher talked her into going down two more times with her, but that was it for Heather.
